It's very important that we keep talking about the current administration and the Health Care Bill. I think they truly believe that they know best about how we should live our personal lives. It appears that the current administration feels they "need" to tell us how to live or else we just aren't capable of doing it right.
Today they are mincing words about the public option clause. They say it's off the table, on the table and Fox news is confident nothing has change but rather just been renamed. I think we have to be very informed and careful about what we hear.
I am an "informed" person. I'm not just talking without doing the research. Over the week-end I watched two town hall meeting with Obama. I was amazed at how he "spun" his words and avoided direct answers in order to win approval. As always I continue to scratch my head and wonder why so many think this man is smart. I just don't get it.
For example, he told one crowd that he was going to save a lot of money by requiring hospitals to be like auto mechanics....What? Yep, that's what he said.
He went on to say that when you take your car to a mechanic - if the same thing breaks two weeks later - you don't have to go in and pay for it again. You expect the mechanic to get it right!
First of all, most of the time unless it's because the part broke and maybe it's under a warranty- if it breaks again, I do pay for it! Usually, the mechanic tells me it broke again because I didn't fix some other item so I wind up paying for both of them.
Second of all - since when is any human like a car? If you go to the hospital for a cold and you take the medicine but two weeks later you aren't better - it's not because the doctor did something wrong. It's because you need a different drug or perhaps something else is the root cause.
Obama is planning to force doctors to take a "plan" option for any ailment. In other words no matter how many times he sees you - he only gets paid for one overall treatment. So, if your condition develops into something more serious your doctor will have to suck it up and treat you at the first cost and not be reimbursed for the more serious charge.
Wow! that's going to keep doctors honest isn't it? That's going to cause these awful uncaring doctors to get it right the first time....oh but wait....in another section of the bill Mr. Obama is going to save money because he's not going to allow all these unnecessary tests. What?
So....let's get this straight - I don't want to misquote this man. You go to the doctor for a cold. He's not allowed to do an x-ray to see if it's pneumonia or do a culture to see if it's strep. Those tests are just unnecessary. But, if you go home and it turns into pneumonia and you have to go back to the doctor - he has to treat you for free.
Wow....can't you just see all the doctors lining up to participate in that?
I get more worried every time this (intelligent? or con?) man opens his mouth.

I am committed to giving my readers 90% original material. Most of the time I like to "write" an original post not merely comment on what others have written. I don't search the internet specifically to copy to my blogs. Either I'm answering one of your questions or I have information I feel you need to consider.
However, lately it seems life is just hard. I was thinking about how hard it must have been in the 30's and 40's with wars and depressions - and yet people still found a way to laugh. I am knee deep in my next book and feeling the weight of the story. It's been a hard month with lots of personal issues as well as writing deadlines. This morning I asked God to help me deal with the weight I felt.
Virginia, a great friend, sent me an e-mail that caused me to laugh out loud. Laughter is a great stress reliever you know. I don't usually forward e-mails - but this one I did. I hope you enjoy this as well. Sit back, don't think about anything but the absurdity and let yourself laugh!

Abbott and Costello have a classic routine called "Who's on First". It's a play on words and ends with Costello totally frustrated.
For those of us who get flustered by our computers, the following is a possible script for Abbott and Costello if they were alive today.
COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT
ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you? COSTELLO: Thanks I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer. ABBOTT: Mac? COSTELLO: No, the name's Lou. ABBOTT: Your computer? COSTELLO: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one. ABBOTT: Mac? COSTELLO: I told you, my name's Lou. ABBOTT: What about Windows? COSTELLO: Why? Will it get stuffy in here? ABBOTT: Do you want a computer with Windows? COSTELLO: I don't know.. What will I see when I look at the windows? ABBOTT: Wallpaper. COSTELLO: Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software. ABBOTT: Software for Windows? COSTELLO: No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What do you have? ABBOTT: Office. I hope you will enjoy the following. I often have to bring bad news, but as far as I'm concerned this is a bitter/sweet bit of news. Yes, I believe that this country is being dismantled piece by piece - but I also believe that if the American people can catch the breath of patriotism - we will be saved. The following video is exactly how we should be acting. We need to put away the Progressive Movement, Marxism and Socialism. We need to return to our roots of patriotism and a love for the republic.
And...we need to find our first love - this country's deep roots in faith and God. If we go back to "In God We Trust", we just might find a stronger nation.

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A simple notice in local papers indicated the route to be taken and the approximate time.
Nowadays, one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those grateful places. The eleven year old girl that cutely asked a question at Obama's show yesterday - was probably a plant.
According to Fox News, her mother has been to the White House several times, and the young girl herself participated in the White House Easter egg roll. Apparently child and parent followed Mr. Obama on the campaign trail.
You know....this stuff is not that hard to see. Does he really think we are that stupid?
I am not fussing at this little girl. She was only doing what she was told to do. I am frustrated that our "supposedly" Commander in Chief feels he needs to hide behind an eleven year old girl. Or maybe he doesn't look at it that way. Maybe he just feels he needs to "use" her which is also offensive to me.
No matter what you are doing - it is never right to use children or to exploit them in any way.
I agree with these two, I think we need to pray harder, do some research and be prepared and then go to a town hall meeting and speak up.
I appreciate Fox News for televising two town hall meetings today. I am amazed at the things I heard.
It constantly amazes me how some people can tell a lie with a straight face. Even when Senator Specter had a constituent ask a question based on actual "quotes" he disputed the fact that the bill was in place or that it had any relevance to what he felt was right. He cut his answers short and avoided some questions all together.
It was evident through careful listening to this man - and to analysis of his answers that he has very little expertise in financial matters and even less information about health care. He did not appear to be fully engaged in the debate. At one point he seemed to be more concerned about a tie microphone than he was about facing the person asking the question. For the next 15 minutes he played with his microphone and paid little attention to what he was being asked.
Then to add to the spin of lies, Mr. Obama took the stage at 1pm. First of all he lies to the press saying that no one has been screened for his town hall meeting. While protesters line the streets, inside he is applauded and cheered. Lie #1
In his opening statements he talks about the big bad mean insurance companies that refuse care. His statements laid out the awful things they do and how he was going to stop it. Lie #2
While I'm sure there is corruption in some Insurance companies - that does not make all of them demonic. They can't provide for us unless they are allowed to make some type of profit. If they can't make money how are they going to pay their employees.
Let me repeat his plan for you....1. Insurance companies would be told what they could charge.
2. Insurance companies would not be allowed to refuse you on the basis of pre-existing problems or to drop you because you needed expensive care.
3. Insurance companies would be required to give you yearly screenings.
4. Insurance companies would not be allowed to make bonuses or to make a profit that might be reflected in a CEO's overall pay.
I'm not Stupid. I'm a psychologist - not an economist, but I think I can figure this one out on my own.
Let's say I'm a businessman and I have an insurance company. I'm not trying to cheat people and I do want to offer a good product. The Government decides that I can't charge more than $200 a month for a general health plan. But...over the life of an individual I know that I will spend much more than that. I know that I will spend a total average of $800 for that individual's health care.
Then the government tells me that I can't refuse you based on a pre-existing problem. Therefore, even though I know that your problem - say cancer or aids - will mean that I won't have the money to pay for little Johnnie's broken arm - I still have to accept you. I also can't tell those I insure that they will have to help pay for "wellness" care - yearly checkups etc... That means that I am required to cover more services with less income.
Finally, even if I figure out a way to cover more services while being forced to charge less, if I do make a profit - I will be in jeopardy of losing my business.
Does this sound like it will work to you??? How can you cover more services, be punished for success and do it all on half the income??
And better yet....even though Joe Blow Insurance company can't do that - the federal government can ---all without taxes or rationing. Right...!?!
Pay attention to the details - PLEASE This won't work and no matter how many times this evil administration tries to push the lie - the outcome will be the same. He is not the messiah and can't turn two loaves and five fishes into a mountain of food. HE CAN'T DO THIS.
It will mean the end of all insurance companies - because what insurance company can stay afloat with those rules? AND if all the insurance companies go out of business - then what? Nationalized health care and the administration can say -"Oh we didn't do that. We can't help it if they can't compete."
It will mean rationing because what doctor in their right mind would want to work at a government set rate?
And....if they are going to do this to the system - i.e. take in $200 when the price is $800 there will have to be long lines - rationing and people in pain.
Please pass this around and do all you can to help people see the truth. This administration is lying to you. It is a grab for more power and for more control over your lives. It is not a compassionate plan for better health care.
And before I leave you with this plea, I thought it was a cheap shot that he used a scared little 10-12 year old girl to ask a question. A question that she seemed to have no idea what she was talking about but only read a prepared idea. Ha ha...and then he went off on a tangent and didn't even answer her question. What a show!
His reference to her question involved the his interpretation of the "spin" that there were going to be death squads and that no one would be required to death counseling. Yet, as I posted - it is listed in black and white that anyone facing death would have to received "death counseling" and a doctor's death order. Hum....lie, lie, lie
Let's fix a few problems like Tort reform and let our free market do the rest.
Be smart. You are not stupid. Don't believe the lies. Read the bills.
Have you ever watched the face of a child when Dad teases them with a magic trick? You hide the quarter in one hand while pretending to throw it in the air. Then you pretend to pull it out from behind their ear....the child laughs and all is well.
That's fine when your a child. It's not a fun trick if your over 18 and the government is using smoke and mirrors to steal your freedoms.
"That would never happen to Americans. We are much too smart for that."
The magic spin can happen to any "uninformed" person. It can happen to a devout Christian. It can happen to a politician. It can happen to a marine.
If you don't investigate the details in any situation, you can be fooled.
Unfortunately, politicians have been allowed to "spin" their views to get us to go along. "Spin" is another word for "Lying".
I love all of you and I am committed to writing blogs, booklets, books and classes that will help you get through your day. Unfortunately, my voice and every voice in America will be silenced if we don't take proper measures now.
So, I encourage you to get involved. Watch Fox cable news if you can and if not check out www.foxnews.com Subscribe to a news source like www.onenewsnow.com Check in with your representatives and find out what they are doing. Read a book or check out an informative blog.
And even more important, find out all you can about next years elections. Don't vote for people that are trying to take away your freedoms.
Why am I so concerned? Because the smoke and mirror of this administration is to keep you preoccupied with the economy while they make a power grab from your freedom in other areas. They want to control how you parent, how many children you will have and even how you die. They want to change the constitution and the way we run this country.
Don't believe me...Good! Check it out for yourself, but don't play the child and just laugh at the joke. Be an adult and dig to find the answers. Be mature enough to talk to those that have different opinions. The answers are out there in black and white, you just have to wade through smoke to get to them.

I am told that sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered "politically incorrect". Consequently, the song was never released to the Public.
